Love Story

Love Story - Erich Segal In my opinion, Segal neither knows what a good romance is nor how to write a good book. The plot is nothing original. The writing is juvenile at best. The dialog is idiotic. How this is supposed to be a heart warming, moving love story I can never understand. I read in the net the very apt mockery of this book's famous line...

What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died?

Better bury her before she starts to smell...

(Original is....

What can you say about a twenty-five-year-old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant? That she loved Mozart and Bach, the Beatles, and me?)

Morbid though it is, this is the perfect thing to quote the hackneyed story with.

Love Story - With neither love, nor a story.
